November 2020

I actually had plans for several portraits for November, but instead I got side-tracked with other things. Then a couple of nights ago I finally sat down with a particularly small photograph of actor Rufus Sewell. This is another of Rory Lewis's stunning photographs. I had been looking for a good image of Rufus for a while and found this particular shot whilst thumbing through one of my photography magazines.
As in all the photographs in Lewis's series entitled 'Capturing the moment of decision' the subject tends to be wearing dark colours which merge into a dark background, thus emphasizing the subject's facial expression. With only a hint of a collar apparent, I employed a touch of artistic licence regarding the jacket or shirt or whatever ...
A brooding Rufus Sewell from another Rory Lewis photograph.
